Wishlist Class Request

Can't find a class on our schedule that you can attend? We may be able to add a class in your area if you have a sufficient number of friends and/or family who can attend with you.

There is no charge to put you name on a Wishlist Class Request and your credit card will not be charged unless we are able to schedule the class.

Waitlist Class Registration

When a sufficient number of students are on a given waitlist, it then becomes a scheduled class. Your credit card is not charged until that time.

Professional Firearms Instructor Development & Business Program

For those that are serious about starting a firearms training business, this program is currently available for business locations outside of Colorado.

It includes two FULL weeks of intensive training in Denver for two individuals, NRA course certification and NRA instructor certification in the pistol, personal protection, rifle and shotgun disciplines.

Plus, additional training in operating a firearms training business and a professional website. Qualified and approved participants may also affiliate with Safearms Academy.

This is not a franchise and you will own and operate your own business under your own name without royalties or franchise fees. We've done it and now we can help you create a fun and rewarding business!

Operating a firearms training business is great for retired couples and those that want to own their own business and set their own hours without the hassle of selling products, managing inventory, etc.

A low to mid-four figure investment in the training program is required and your individual business results will vary. Obviously, we can't guarantee you a specific return or success level and that will be in your hands. You will have other investment costs (not paid to us) depending upon how your start and grow your business.

You can take our instructor training by itself and then start from scratch or enroll in our Professional Firearms Instructor Development & Business Program for a fast track solution.

Summer Classes Forming for our Defensive Pistol Tactics I & II Courses

These are one-day basic defensive pistol tactics courses designed to help students develop real defensive pistol skills. It is an excellent "next step" for those that have completed a basic pistol course, CCW course or acquired a CCW permit.

Defensive pistol use is not about bullseye targets and students learn vital skills which include basic threat assessment, point shooting, moving with a loaded pistol, etc.

This course is limited to a maximum of ten students and classes fill up almost immediately. Classes availabe now in Denver and Silverthorne! REGISTER NOW

In Colorado, our students come from Denver, Boulder, Arvada, Broomfield, Westminster, Lakewood, Golden, Centennial, Littleton, Englewood, Ft. Collins, Longmont, Greeley, Colorado Springs and many other Colorado cities.

Host a Class at your Club, Nonprofit Group, Company or Service Organization

Depending upon your location and the number of students, we may be able to send an instructor to you! For non-profit groups, we may be able to share revenue to make it a fundraising event. INQUIRE

Are you looking for a CCW Permit?
For the Colorado CCW permit, you have a choice of classes: 10-hour NRA Basic Pistol course which is best for beginners or a CCW course that's about 4 hours long that is designed for those with handgun shooting experience. You can also take the NRA Basic Pistol course to satisfy the training requirements for the Florida CCW permit as well as the permit issued by several other states.

If you are seeking the Utah CCW permit, which we believe is the best value in non-resident permits as the Utah CCW permit itself costs only $59 and covers 27 states (30 states for Utah residents), CCW course is Utah-certified. We also offer fingerprinting, photo and notary services at class for an additional fee.

Utah CCW Classes Coming to a City Near You
We have many instructors who are trained and certified to teach our CCW course for the Utah CCW permit. They will be "on the road" in many different states to deliver the class in various cities.

CCW permits

How to select the right permit or permits.
A CCW permit issued by one state may be valid in one or more other states under a specific, two-way agreement (reciprocity) or another form of acceptance. More information on reciprocity vs. acceptance will be presented later in this article.

In some cases, residents of a state are required to obtain the CCW permit issued by their home state in order to carry in that state. In other states, residents may carry using only a an out-of-state CCW permit that is accepted by their home state.

Many people get the CCW permit issued by their home state and one or more out of state CCW permits in order to increase the number of states in which they can carry a concealed handgun. CONTINUE

Instructor Training in Las Vegas

Become an NRA Certified Instructor !!
Teach firearms safety to youth and/or adults. Teach classes for various CCW permits. Teach just about anywhere. Teach part-time or full-time.

Safearms Academy trains and develops NRA Certified Firearms Instructors. Our training programs go beyond the minimums set by the NRA and classes are held in many cities. Other instructor training courses are offered in Denver, Salt Lake City and Del Mar. Seating is limited and a tuition discount is available for prepaid registrations.

While this is not an offer of employment as instructors own and operate their own business, and we cannot guarantee a specific income or income potential, it is a fun and rewarding way to help support the Second Amendment and counter the negative spin about firearms.
