Safearms Academy has over 10 NRA Certified Firearms Instructors, which includes staff and associate instructors, compared to only one or two instructors at most other Colorado-based firearms training providers. Some of our instructors have up to 15 or more years of experience as NRA Certified Instructors and have taught hundreds of students.

The Managing Director at Safearms Academy is also an NRA Certified Training Counselor charged with the responsibility of training new NRA Certified Instructors. He has 20 years of law enforcement experience including prior certification as an NRA Certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor.

Experience counts and the team of instructors at Safearms Academy stand ready to help novice, intermediate and experienced students with quality firearms training. When evaluating different firearms training providers, ask if they have an NRA Certified Training Counselor on staff, how many certified instructors they have and whether they have instructors with law enforcement experience.

Safearms Academy firearms instructors hold certifications from the National Rifle Association, Utah Department of Public Safety, California Department of Justice, NACFI - National Association of Certified Firearms Instructors and/or Colorado POST.
